Conditions We Treat

Iliotibial Band Syndrome

Iliotibial band syndrome (ITBS) is one of the most common causes of knee pain, particularly in endurance athletes and cyclists.

The IT band runs along the outer thigh from pelvis to knee; friction between the band and underlying structures during repetitive knee movement causes irritation and inflammation.
